Harlem Bespoke: We dropped by the new Shuteye coffee shop at 137 West 116th Street again to try out some of artisanal donuts offered up behind the counter. Maple Waffle, Blueberry Lemon, Dark Chocolate, Vanilla Lavender or Milk and Honey are all part of the mix which also include pastries from Bien Cuit bakery. Our pick for the week was the Blueberry Lemon donut which packed a lot color but had a nice subtle burst of flavor which was a refreshing change of pace from the usual sugary breakfast options. All of the distinct cake donuts are by Underwest Donuts from midtown and the confections disappear quite quickly by mid afternoon so come early on in the day.
