Harlem Bespoke: A large mural featuring Dizzy Gillespie has been place up on a building just east of Frederick Douglass Boulevard about a year ago. This open space has been used as a parking lot over the past few decades so having the historic art really livens everything up. The legendary trumpeter was a founders of the bebop movement in the 1940s and is considered one of the most iconic musicians of the genre. With that being said, most of the big jazz spots have slowly disappeared uptown over the years but a couple of smaller venues still keeps the spirit alive today: LINK
