Harlem Bespoke: Developers purchased the former RKO Hamilton Theatre back in 2013 but not much appears to be happening to the official landmark. We walked by the historic building at the corner of 146th Street at 3560 Broadway this past week and noticed that everything pretty much looks the same. Talks of a condo conversion had been circulating a couple of years ago but permits do not show anything major happening to the Hamilton Heights commercial space. A few pop-up fashion and retail events have been hosted at the theater lobby more recently but nothing else appears to be in development. The RKO Hamilton Theatre opened over a century ago in 1913 and has been used as a local department store before shutting down six years ago.
