REMEMBER: LELISA DESISA IN HARLEM 2018

Harlem Bespoke:  We were able to check out mile 22 of the New York City Marathon at Mount Morris Park West yesterday and took photos of the lead 3 male marathoners as they past through Harlem.  At this point in time, Lelisa Desisa was easily in third place while two other star runners aggressively passed the Ethiopian at this last leg of the race in upper Manhattan.  By the time we arrived home later in the afternoon, news broke that the 28-year-old Desisa had pulled to the front and won this year's title for the mens division.

The winning time was set at 2 hours, 5 minutes and 59 seconds for the 26.219 mile race and this was the victorious runner's first top honor at the New York City Marathon.  Fellow Ethiopian Shura Kitata took second place and Kenya's Geoffrey Kamworor ended it up at third even though they were the leaders in Harlem.
