Harlem Bespoke: Another restaurant or lounge appears to be arriving soon around the Strivers Row neighborhood in Central Harlem. The storefronts on FDB between West 138th and 139th Street have been renovated in the past couple years and an art gallery has already set up on the north end. More recently, we noticed that a public notice had been posted for a beer and wine license at the vacant commercial space at the corner of 138th street.
DuckBowie LLC is mentioned on the paperwork but it is still unclear if this will be the name of the establishment. Ruby's Vintage, Belle Harlem, Ponty Bistro and Alibi lounge have all opened nearby in the past few years on the 7th Avenue side of the historic district so this area is really starting develop commercially. Rumors of a micro-brewery and a bookstore have also been mentioned in the past but it appears that an eatery will eventually set up at 271 West 138th Street.
