DRINK: A NIGHT OUT AT HARLEM HOPS
Harlem Bespoke: We dropped by Harlem Hops at 2268 Adam Clayton Powell to check out the beer hall that opened by just by 133rd Street this past summer. Harlem is the theme of the exposed brick wall craft bar and uptown's famous moniker is actually spelled out in bright bulbs above the main bar and a quote from Langston Hughes is also lit up in neon. Over 16 local beers are on tap and the bar tender mentioned that they try to keep the selection focused from the greater New York City area or upstate. Wine is also available but the main order of the day is every type of cold brew imaginable.
Small bites are also available to order at which includes various meat pies or artisanal bratwurst in pretzel buns served alongside potato and plantain chips. With that said, the specialty beef pie with African spices was surprisingly good and the pretzel dogs are a solid choice for a night out of drinking. There are severals small tables in the front and back of the establishment for those who want a more formal seating arrangement but the main focus of the space is welcoming center bar for those in area who want to grab a drink after work. Services is also very attentive and we definitely will return to HH in the near future. More on Harlem Hops can be found in our past post: LINK
