Harlem Bespoke: We noticed in the beginning of the year that the bodega at the corner of 132nd Street on Lenox had shuttered but was not completely sure if this was just another renovation update to the existing space. Our questions were soon answered when a Bespoke reader sent in a tip about a new restaurant that will be arriving at this intersection of Harlem.
A announcement was more recently posted on the window in the past few days and it appears that Ohana will be opening in the near future. The Chopsticks font in the lettering is a bit unfortunate since this is an archaic reference to orientalism but all could change with the final design of the storefront when the establishment finally opens. Other than that, a hibachi grill eatery focusing on seafood and steak would do well if all comes together the right way so we hope for the best for this new entry in the uptown dining scene.
