ARCHITECTURE: A SKYSCRAPER ON 125TH STREET

Harlem Bespoke:  Looking east on 125th Street at the Apollo theater from Frederick Douglass Boulevard will really convince anyone that some big changes are happening currently in Harlem.  The iconic neon marquee used to be surrounded by blue sky but now the unfinished Victoria development looms over in the background.  West of this block, a couple more glassy new constructions can be seen and another building boom is officially in place on the east side of the boulevard.  Harlem's main street used to be a low rise commercial intersection but the open feel is now quickly dissipating.  More on the Victoria tower can be found in our past post: LINK
