EAT: SEXY TACO SHUTTERED ON LENOX

Harlem Bespoke:  A Bespoke reader mentioned that Sexy Taco had appears to have closed at the corner of 118h Street on Lenox and alas this will be a permanent situation.  A Facebook post from the beginning of March confirms that the owner of the eatery is focusing on Ruby's Vintage which debuted on 7th Avenue by 137th Street and the news really marks the end of an era.  Most of the local residents in the Mount Morris Park Historic District know that 19 years ago, a restaurant called Native debuted at the storefront and would become one of Harlem's first finer dining establishments to appear on the scene.

Native was around for over a decade and then the business model changed to La Bodega about 5 years ago and more recently into the local taco spot.  This is a pretty prime corner in the neighborhood so something interesting will surely arrive but those who want to support the local business owner should try out Ruby's a little further uptown: LINK
