Harlem Bespoke: An article in the
Times reveals that the new glassy designs for Harlem School of the Arts on St. Nicholas by 142nd Street. The current Brutalist architecture from the 1970s was a concealed space but the $9.5 million renovations courtesy of the Herb Alpert Foundation will add light and update the exterior with the more current grey brick facade finish. Imrey Studio is the local architectural firm chosen for the updated look:
