INTRODUCING: DETAILS AT THE CORN EXCHANGE CAFE
Harlem Bespoke: Signs were up announcing that a cafe will be arriving at the lower level of the Corn Exchange Building on 125th Street by Park Avenue but not much else has been revealed until now. We walked by the street level commercial space this week and noticed an under construction announcement that had just been posted in the window and a rendering of the new interior apparently has been officially published.
This yet to be named new business has a contemporary feel with classic elements such mint colored wood paneling, a white marble bar, cafe tables and comfy tufted leather sofas in a warm cognac color. As previously mentioned, the Metro North Station is just across the street from Corn Exchange Building and commuter have nowhere to really hangout for a coffee or a quick bite with a glass of wine so this new establishment totally makes sense. With that said, there are not a lot of boutique spots on the east side of 125th Street and this new entry will be a first for the area. More on the restored, landmark Corn Exchange Building can be found in our past post: LINK
