SEE: A BALLAD FOR HARLEM AT THE SCHOMBURG
A Ballad for Harlem exhibit at the Schomburg, 515 Lenox at the corner of 135th Street. The Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture will examine the history of Harlem and its place in Black culture in its new exhibition, A Ballad for Harlem, opening today in its Main Exhibition Hall. On display through December 31, 2019, the exhibition revisits Harlem’s places, people, and moments—both known and underrepresented—that capture the realities of community and hardship experienced by Black Americans and the creation of a “city within a city” that fostered endurance, belonging, and resistance. More details on the Schomburg center can be found at the official site: LINK
