SHOP: JIN RAMEN CLOSED IN JULY

Harlem Bespoke:  UPDATE:  It appears that both restaurant are now fully operational as of the last weekend in July.  We walked by on Saturday evening and all of the paper on the windows had been removed at both storefronts and diners could be seen inside.

Jin Ramen put Harlem on the map as a Japanese dining destination when the eatery located just south of 125th Street on Broadway debuted 7 years ago.  Those passing by the Manhattanville address in the past month might have noticed that the shop has been closed for some time and may be wondering what is going on.  A note on the door actually mentions some good news since everything is being renovated to eventually connect the next door space which houses the sister restaurant Jin Kissaten.  The latter serves up specialty rice bowls called donburi and having the two in one big space makes perfect sense for the notable local Harlem spot.  Finishing up construction had been set for mid July but things appear to be taking longer.  Check out our original post on Jin Ramen for more details: LINK
