EAT: CRISPY CHICKEN BOWL AT FIELD TRIP

HarlemBespoke: Field Trip on Lenox Avenue just debuted on Lenox Avenue by 116th Street last month and we were able to stop by again to try another one of artisan grain bowls on menu this week.  Chef Joseph Johnson made previously put The Cecil on the Manhattan culinary map and now has introduced a more democratic alternative to fine dining that is pocket friendly.  We tried out the savory salmon on black rice on the first visit but the crispy chicken offering piqued our interest also.

For $9.99 an order, this was almost fast food pricing but one gets served up perfectly cooked Carolina gold topped with crunchy braised greens, edamame and fried chicken chunks drizzle with BBQ sauce. Much of the delicious flavor is actually seasoned into the rice of each bowl and the fresh toppings just provide the perfect accents to this more healthy alternative to casual dining in the neighborhood.  More details on Field Trip can be found in our past post: LINK
