Harlem Bespoke: Walking by the corner of 127th and 8th Avenue this week, we noticed that Nabe had close and most of the interior was being dismantled. The udon shop opened a few years ago but never quite took off like the couple of ramen spots located uptown. With that said, udon is really one of those specialties that are done well in Japan but is hard to translate in a spectacular way when moving to stateside. It is unclear at this point if the retail space has found an new restaurant business or will be looking for for a future tenant.
