BESPOKE: PENTHOUSE VIEWS IN MANHATTANVILLE
Harlem Bespoke: A few of the move-ins have already happened over at 17 Convent Avenue and we were invited over to check out some of the available units left with penthouse views of the historic factory district on the west side of Harlem. This intersection just a couple of blocks away from the 127th Street express subway entrance used to be an empty lot and we always hoped to see the parcel revitalized for some sort of housing.
As can be seen by the above photos, a lot of construction activity is still currently happening since the Manhattanville neighborhood is going through a major commercial and cultural rebirth. A hotel in the works, new glassy office space, museums, galleries or coffee shops have all opened or have plans to finish up in the area that was notably a major brewery and bakery hub for Harlem a century ago. Since West Harlem is on an elevation, one can also see all of the tall buildings of midtown in the distance and a majority of Harlem below 125th Street.
We were told that uptown still is quite a package for homebuyers looking for something unique within the new construction market and the mild fall season has brought in more foot traffic than usual. Modern finishes, dramatic sunlight, private terraces, working fireplace and contemporary stairwells are all some of the standout features to be found at this boutique condominium development. With that said, those interested in 17 Convent should check out the official website for me details and availability: LINK
