Harlem Bespoke: Scaffolding has gone up at 719 St. Nicholas Avenue by 146th Street so we decided to check out was is going on with the landmark building on Sugar Hill. Based on DOB permits from end of last year, it appears that historic building was chopped up inside as an SRO with 13 units but now will be converted to 6 apartments. It is unclear if this means they will still be rentals and the corner building next door had been converted into condos more recently so that might be the case for this architectural grand dame:
