WALK: SPRING FLOWERS AT ST. JOSEPH
Harlem Bespoke: We have been taking an occasional walk in the past week just to get groceries and have been reminded that the sights of spring are actually starting to bloom. Social distancing is always in mind so going near anyone is out of the question but looking up at local wonders like St. Joseph on 125th Street and Morningside Avenue is always inspirational. This is one of the rare Catholic churches in the neighborhood and has been around since 1860 which makes the house of worship one of Harlem's oldest buildings. We especially like the free standing house on the grounds that provides a glimpse of what Harlem used to look like before all of the taller building would arrive in the next century. More architectural photos of St. Joseph can be found in our past post: LINK
