BESPOKE: A SECRET GARDEN IN HARLEM
Harlem Bespoke: We took more springtime photos around St. Joseph this week and noticed that the secret garden on the north end of the church was starting to bloom. There used to be a greek temple structure on the lot over a hundred years ago but now the space is just an expanse of open land used a yard and gardening. The Kwanzan cherry blossoms are in full form with a more intense pink that is instantly recognizable and the brightest green buds have appeared on the other trees. There is also a small triangular park in front of the church across the street that also has Kwanzan trees so the block becomes quite magical this time a year. Going out is a rare event these days so stopping and noticing the beauty in the neighborhood has become more special than in past springs. More architectural photos of St. Joseph can be found in our past post: LINK
