BESPOKE: TAKEOUT WINDOWS TAKE OVER

Harlem Bespoke: The newest restaurant trend during the great pause in the city would have to be the makeshift takeout window.  Eateries serving food to go have opened doors or windows and have set up an ordering area where the customer never has to step foot into the restaurant.  This actually makes a lot of sense for both sides and appears to now be the popular business model of the day.  Drinks to go have especially been popular and eateries with bars inside just bring everything out to the window.

A lot of places like Barawine on Lenox have glass doors that open out and placing a table across the entranceway transforms everything into a pedestrian pickup portal.  Another clever innovation is the overhead signage with pricing like the one at At The Wallace in Hamilton Heights which makes things even easier since there are no menus to fumble with.  We especially like this setup because a lot of folks will be in town this summer and grabbing a quick bite on the go just became a lot easier.
