CONSTRUCTION: 471 WEST 125TH STREET REVEALED

Harlem Bespoke: We mentioned a few weeks ago that scaffolding went up at 471 West 125th Street by Amsterdam Avenue in recent months and now it appears that everything has finished up.  There was an initial concern on our part that demolition work might be happening but a standard facade renovation appears to have occurred.  As previously mentioned, this part of the boulevard is unique because of the rare wood frame house at the location along with the taller building with one of the most ornate cornices still intact on 125th Street.  Check out our past post to see an archival photo of this location taken just after the Renaissance years: LINK
