Harlem Bespoke: Coffee shops are reopening with curbside takeout windows all over town so we were shocked to see the Double Dutch Espresso in Hamilton Heights apparently vacant. The location on Amsterdam Avenue by 140th Street has had the neon signage removed from the window and all of the stock from the inside has been vacated. Hard finishes such as the shelving and counter are all there so everything has not been fully dismantled. There are no signs in the window announcing an official closing so we are not 100 percent sure if the current situation is permanent. This branch originally opened as Filtered back in 2015 but changed names to Double Dutch three years later:
