Harlem Bespoke: When Black Lives Matter protest started all over the city earlier in the month, some national chains thought it was prudent to place plywood up on the windows for protection but Harlem has had very peaceful demonstration. Seeing that this might just send out the wrong message, some businesses like Shake Shack on 125th Street and Wells Fargo on Lenox have quickly removed the aforementioned installations. Other neighborhoods further downtown and in Brooklyn has seen looting and vandalism but uptown has not seen anything of this nature happening on the commercial boulevards.
