Harlem Bespoke: The new set of Harlem Renaissance 2.0 Banners banners of black icons went up this past weekend and we were able to take current photos of the images that span West 125th Street starting past Morningside Avenue and ending at 12th Avenue. Actress, Ethel Waters, poet, Countee Coullen, visual artist, Richmond Barthe, The “Mother of the Blues,” Ma Rainey, and novelist and publisher, Wallace Thurman are some of the notable LGBT quoted this year.
