SHOP: LOCAL SHUTTERED BUSINESSES 2020
Harlem Bespoke: Some of the local businesses shuttered by the pandemic now also includes Sugar Hill Cafe on 145th Street which is the second coffee shop to close doors in Hamilton Heights. Double Dutch by City College on Amsterdam Avenue also threw in the towel a couple of months ago but the remaining restaurants in the area appear to be holding out. As far as Central Harlem goes, RDV on Frederick Douglass Boulevard is the only fine dining business we know of that did not make through the rough times. Then there is Fairway on the far west side of 125th Street which might have been bought out as planned but the slowdown most probably made that impossible as the year progressed.
