BESPOKE DIARIES: OUTDOOR CINEMA IN HARLEM

Harlem Bespoke:  Going to the movies in the summertime has been one of the many things that did not happen this year but maybe an outdoor option will do in the near future.  The Richard Rogers Amphitheater at Marcus Garvey Park comes to mind since outdoor screenings have taking place in the past.  Maysles Cinema on Lenox just recently presented the Good Trouble documentary by projecting the movie through the front lobby window.   Other local outdoor movie spots in the past included the Morris-Jumel Mansion grounds and the courtyard of the Museum of the City of New York.  Restaurants like Harlem Tavern also have enough outdoor space for projecting a movie on one of the walls so there are quite a few possibilities for socially distant cinematic entertainment.  Outdoor dining has proven to be safe so the above options should work out if organized correctly.
