EAT: END OF SUMMER AT DINO BAR-B-QUE

Harlem Bespoke: We heard about the $35 Sweetheart Deal at Dinosaur Bar-B-Que on far west 125th Street and met a friend to try out the special that features a full rack of ribs and 4 sides.  One of the city's most notable destination dining spots opened in Manhattanville by 12th Avenue back in 2004 and there used to be lines to get a table.  Now there is less of a wait for the outdoor dining situation and the picnic tables are a natural way to feature the pit-smoked specialties.

So how were the ribs?  Exceptional as usual and the crispy char on the outside is still one of the most outstanding examples of barbecue to be found in all of New York City.  Then there are the sides which honestly are very underrated since everything is always really good.  Mac & Cheese along with the collard greens or coleslaw definitely must be ordered with each meal but there are also seasonal additions such as the cucumber salad which was a refreshing surprise.
