INTRODUCING: OPEN STREETS ON FREDERICK DOUGLASS

Harlem Bespoke: Weekends now are for the people on 8th Avenue between 112th and 120th Street since the boulevard has been blocked off from all street traffic so that everyone can enjoy more open space.  Restaurants along Frederick Douglass Boulevard will spread out into the streets and families who want to take a stroll or ride bikes can do so with worrying about cars speeding by.  Everything will set up until the end of October with Fridays from 5:00PM-11:00PM and Saturday-Sunday from 11:00AM-11:00PM.  Less cars, cleaner air and recreational space all sound like healthy living so maybe this will something to think about as a more permanent alternative for the neighborhood in the future.
