UPDATE: SHUTTERED BUSINESSES 2020

Harlem Bespoke: The restaurant businesses has been really tough this year a more closings have been announced going into the fall season.  Below is a list of notable uptown establishments that have shuttered thus far.

Hamilton Heights: Sugar Hill Cafe on 145th Street which is the second coffee shop to close doors in Hamilton Heights.  Double Dutch by City College on Amsterdam Avenue also threw in the towel a couple of months ago but the remaining restaurants in the area appear to be holding out.

Central Harlem: As far as Central Harlem goes, Frederick Douglass Boulevard has been hit hard as of late.  RDV was first to shut down earlier on in the season and Zoma never reopened but was replaced by a new Ethiopian dining spot recently.  Hop House also threw in the towel when the shutdown began and more recently Cafeine had a last call after reopening for a short time during the summer.

Manhattanville: Then there is Fairway on the far west side of 125th Street which might have been bought out as planned but the slowdown most probably made that impossible as the year progressed.
