INTRODUCING: THE JAMES BALDWIN LAWN

Harlem Bespoke: The sign for the newly appointed James Baldwin Lawn is now up at St. Nicholas Park by 135th Street.  News had arrived earlier in the season that the formerly nameless great green outdoor space to the west of St. Nicholas Avenue would get an honorific and the city installed the official signage in the past week or so.   St. Nicholas Park spans several blocks so now folks can be more specific about where to meet if the lawn is the planned destination.  This is kind of a cool way to place historic significance to public spaces and the concept should definitely be used more often.
