Harlem Bespoke: We did not really know what the big deal was about with Krispy Kreme until we tried out a hot one original glazed recently. A new location on 125th Street by St. Nicholas Avenue that opened in August has a neon sign that lights up when the hot donuts are being made so this it the time to get the famous specialty. Just make sure that the conveyer belt machine is rolling out the donuts when you go inside and ask for the hot glaze.
The difference is night and day here compared to the other donuts that have settle for a bit in the refrigerated shelves and the half melty glaze forms a delicious thin crust. After trying them out for the first time, we are making it a point to drop in for a quick treat anytime we see the light on when running errands on 125th Street.
