Harlem Bespoke: Who can guess the location of the Riverside Restaurant from this 1940s archival government tax photo? The block actually looks the same today and that church a few door down is also a clue. There used to be a liquor store at this corner in recent decades but a popular restaurant has since returned to this location. An updated photo will be uploaded later on this weekend. Harlem Shake is the storefront that stands at this corner today at Lenox and 124th Street. The retro vibe of the awning and signage fit nicely within the Mount Morris Park Historic District and pretty much looks similar to the original restaurant at this location.
