Harlem Bespoke: We noticed noticed that Christmas trees were being put out to rest en masse during the first week of January. It's kind of funny seeing them on the sidewalk and at street corners but this is also quite a New York City thing to experience this time of year. Marcus Garvey Park especially had quite a mound of trees dropped off by the end of the week on the Mount Morris Park West side. Mornings in the Historic District tend to be super quiet especially during these times so the whole scene was quite surreal.
Another thing we noticed as of late was that filming started up again in the neighborhood. Apparently Godfather of Harlem will either use the landmark brownstones as a backdrop or just the park itself for one of the upcoming episodes. The new normal has definitely been more peaceful around here but things are slowly starting to get back up to speed for the new year.
