Harlem Bespoke: Times are changing and New York City might just be less reliant on automobiles in the near future. A new poll of registered voters show that 68 percent of in the city want more protected bike lanes and a lot of other stuff that pretty much will take away parking space. Expanded open streets, dedicated bus lanes along with wider sidewalks are also part of the picture which are priority especially for lower income New Yorkers and for Hispanic or Black voters. The vocal minority appears to take over social media when the subject matter comes up but voters have spoken so big changes will surely happen going forward.
