Harlem Bespoke: The Apple Bank at 124 East 125th Street at the corner of Lexington Avenue was vacated because of a big asset sale a couple of years back and now it appears everything is up for rent. This is actually one of the more architecturally significant building on 125th Street with a lot of history to it but apparently no landmark protection has been provided for some reason. The location by the subway station makes it a prime target for a developer but only landmark status would help ensure that this majestic example of early 20th Century architecture will be preserved in the near future.
