Museum Educators facilitate school, family, and summer camp programs for the museum. Current initiatives of this department focus on (1) expanding narratives to be more inclusive of the site’s stories, (2) strengthening social history content delivered both virtually and in-person, and (3) diversifying programmatic offerings to meet the needs of the larger Washington Heights and surrounding communities. The Visitor Services Associate is responsible for greeting guests, facilitating safe visits, completing gift shop sales, store stocking and inventory, and assisting with marketing, and event execution.
