Harlem Bespoke: We always wondered what the church building at 133 West 128th Street with no details or even windows looked like originally so did some research. An archival photo from the 1940s shows this block located west of Lenox Avenue and reveals that the address was a storage facility. Even back then, there were a lot architectural detail decorating this building that was not even made out for people to live in. The overall aesthetic appeal can not be denied and makes one wonder why churches would block up windows in the first place.
