Harlem Bespoke: We saw this log teepee under a tree in the middle of Morningside Park and wondered if anyone was using it. A lot of branches had been trimmed in the green space since a big storm last year and cut logs can still be found around the grounds. The parks department might have created this for recreational use since by mid afternoon, a bunch of parents and children in the neighborhood drop by for playtime in the natural abode. The boys were going nuts over it when we walked past yesterday afternoon. In the past year it seems that a lot of families have really been making use of the park on a daily bases and this is a pretty cool way to bring people together.

Ha! Just some neighborhood kids (including mine) who spent most of the winter building and rebuilding...
ReplyDeleteOur 2 daughters and 3 friends built these (again and again). Happy to share photos of their progression over the seasons. And the children will happily take interviews... :)
ReplyDeleteI’d be interested to hear from them! :)
