Harlem Bespoke: We received a tip that Harlem Shambles had shuttered and so went over to the storefront on Frederick Douglass Boulevard by 116th Street yesterday. The artisan butcher shop was empty inside and a note had been posted on the door mentioning as much. It was a great 10 years running so maybe the lease might have been up at this point and it was time to move on. Hopefully this top notch business will find another home uptown in the coming months. So sad! Harlem Shambles had the best quality meat. And I don't think there's anywhere else close by that has similar high-quality meat.
