EAT: PITA SANDWICHES AT SILVANA ON WEST 116TH

Harlem Bespoke:   We always say that Silvana on West 116th Street by Frederick Douglass Boulevard is one of the more underrated eateries uptown and pita sandwiches did not let us down on a recent visit.  We chose lamb this time around and thick pita pocket was just overflowing with lots of amazing stuff when pulled out of the bag.  This is easily over double the size of traditional pita sandwiches that are found elsewhere uptown and comes with two homemade sauces. Everything can be taken to go and can also be enjoyed indoors or outside of the charming coffee shop. Those looking for more early morning fare should additionally check out the Middle Eastern shakshuka which is also a standout:  LINK
