EAT: SINGAPOREAN LAKSA AT NATIVE NOODLES

Harlem Bespoke:  One of the new uptown destination spot to try out is Native Noodles which is a tiny Singaporean eatery located at 2129 Amsterdam Avenue between 165th and 166th Street. We stopped by after a visit to the Morris Jumel Mansion one weekend and almost walked past since there are no major signs posted out front.  Out of all the dishes tried out for the day, the Laksa was definitely the standout since the robust curry flavor was what we were looking for.  This rice noodle dish is also on the saucy side and not really a soup dish so might really be ideal when the weather gets warmer.  Freshly made dumplings are also a standout here and we will definitely be back to try out more in the near future.  There's only about a half dozen seats available including the window counter so drop by at non-peak hours to grab a seat or just take everything to go.
