INTRODUCING: SIDEWALK GUM REMOVAL
Harlem Bespoke: Sidewalk space has now become a valuable extension of city restaurants and it appears that the often neglected pedestrian pathways are finally getting some love. We noticed that Corner Social on Lenox and 126th Street had a few workers cleaning up the outdoors areas last week and wondered what was going on. Apparently there are chewing gum removal services available to tidy up sidewalk these days and all one has to do is to look at the concrete surface in our above photo to see what the issue is about. The more expensive alternative would be to have a wood floor patio buildout which may or may not be up to code with the city.
