Harlem Bespoke: We published the top photo this summer to show some love for The Mill Korean restaurant in Morningside Heights this past summer but noticed recently that the longtime local favorite had been dark inside this past week. The worse was confirmed when walking by the storefront over the weekend since a sign was posted on the door mentioning that the family run business has officially shuttered after 35 years in business. Staffing also appears to be one of the issues here since the eatery never opened for table service since the pandemic hit. Korean cuisine is the big trend for New York City these days and the mill was one of the first to serve up the specialty dishes in Manhattan so maybe someone can buy the business out to start anew.
