REMEMBER: THE HIDDEN MANSION ON HAMILTON PLACE

Harlem Bespoke: There is an grand mansion hidden in plain sight in Hamilton Heights for decades! We found the archival photo of 44 Hamilton Place which has been converted into a church at the corner of 139th Street some time ago but apparently was one of the last country estate houses within the neighborhood.  Behind the contemporary facade wall once stood a grand wrap around porch with vines decorating the outdoor architectural element as can bee seen in the photo from the 1940s.  Hamilton Grange is probably the most famous freestanding mansion in Hamilton Heights but those who look a little deeper will discover this hidden gem that is still pretty much intact today.
