RENT: A TWO BEDROOM BY MARCUS GARVEY PARK

Harlem Bespoke:  So the average in Manhattan rent for a non-doorman studio went up a couple of hundred this past summer to a whopping $2,343 a month but those living uptown can save thousands each year since deals can still be found.  In the past 24 hours, a prewar two-bedroom at 9 East 124th Street on the north side of Marcus Garvey Park has been listed for $2,150 a month.  This no-fee rental has recently been renovated and is just a couple of blocks away from the 125th Street express subway station on Lenox.  Restaurants, cafes, and Whole Foods are all close by too.  One month free rent is included with the 12-month lease so the overall total will be much less.  With that said, this prewar apartment is probably a walk-up situation so might not be for everyone. More details and contact information on Streeteasy: LINK
