REMEMBER: A GAS STATION AT 110TH AND FDB
Harlem Bespoke: HB is uptown's longest running blog with the most original photos that we take ourselves daily and have been recording all the big changes in the neighborhood for over a decade now. One of the dramatic points of transformation have been at local gas stations which used to be quite abundant up until recent years. The gas station featured today at 110th Street was up and running up until up until 2013 but was demolished the following year and construction soon started on a dramatic new building soon after. Things really sped up in the next couple of years and the 11-story residential development topped off in 2016. The unique curved windows were all in place by 2017 and apartments were up for sale soon after. This Central Park North location really deserved some more modern architecture and the new condo definitely looks much better than the archaic gas station that once stood here.
