CECIL CHEF OPENING AFRICAN FOOD HALL IN HARLEM

Harlem Bespoke:  Those who miss the critically acclaimed food from Alexander Smalls at The Cecil (all pictured above) will have something new to look forward to.  The renowned chef who started up the historic eatery back in 2013 alongside Joseph Johnson will now be opening a new African food hall called Alkebulan hopefully in the coming year.

Forbes just wrote up an article recently and mentioned that the multi-restaurant concept did so well in Dubai last fall that a Harlem and London launch will be up next for the foodie destination that gets its moniker from the oldest name for Africa.  There is no mentioned of timeline or location so we will have to wait for developing details in the coming months.
