Harlem Bespoke: So the average in Manhattan rent for a
non-doorman studio went up a couple of hundred this past summer to a
whopping $2,343 a month but those living uptown can save thousands each year since deals can still be found.
In the past week, a prewar

274 West 119th Street by the lower Frederick Douglass Boulevard commercial corridor has been listed for $1,995 a month. This
no-fee rental is also just about a 5 minute walk away from the express subway station entrance at 125th Street and a couple of blocks away from local stops at 116th Street. Restaurants, cafes and Morningside Park are also close by. With that said, this prewar apartment is a fifth floor walk-up situation so might not be for everyone.
