Harlem Bespoke: We received a tip that the shuttered Harlem Food Bar storefront on Frederick Douglass Boulevard by 114th Street has signage up now announcing another businesses arriving soon. The favorite local eatery shuttered to remodel in the fall but it looks like the owners decided to throw in the towel.
Vegan Hood had a pop-up going in the past couple of years on West 135th Street but now has found a permanent location at this familiar spot. The small black-owned business has had some major support through crowd funding in the past year and now the first official brick and mortar space will be opening up in the next couple of month. The interior is in pretty good conditions so just fixing up some finishes within is all that needs to happen. More on Harlem Food Bar can be found in our past post:
