So the average in Manhattan rent for a
non-doorman studio went up a couple of hundred this past summer to a
whopping $2,343 a month but those living uptown can save thousands each year since deals can still be found.
In the past couple of days, a prewar
two-bedroom at 519 West 151st Street by Broadway has been listed for $1,900 a month. This recently renovated
no-fee rental in West Harlem is also just 6 blocks away from the express A,B,C,D subway entrance which makes for an easy commute. Riverside Park, restaurants and cafes on the Broadway corridor are also nearby. With that said, this is probably a walk-up situation on an upper floor so it might not be for everyone.
